Five Element Certification Program

The Five Element Certification Program with Dr. Isaac Goren is a transformative, comprehensive training designed for acupuncture practitioners ready to elevate their clinical skills to the next level.

Over the course of 10 immersive weekend sessions, you will develop advanced diagnostic and treatment abilities rooted in classical Five Element theory — empowering you to treat patients on the physical, emotional, and mental level with confidence, precision, and depth.

What You’ll Learn

This program covers the full spectrum of Five Element theory and practice, including Five Element Theory and the Laws we work with, traditional diagnosis through Color, Sound, Odor, and Emotion, identifying a patient’s Constitution or Causative Factor (CF), pulse diagnosis and pulse qualities, freehand needle technique, Spirit of the Points, Five Element protocols and when to apply them, short and long-term treatment planning, Window of the Sky, advanced point location, Chinese Clock and Horary, Energy Transfers, Qigong and energetic emission, how to protect yourself as a practitioner, and how to handle cases when treatment doesn’t work.

Graduate Competencies

By the end of the program, you will have a reliable, easy-to-follow system with proven results, a high level of clinical confidence with your patients, advanced diagnostic and treatment skills, and a deep understanding of energy both in and out of the treatment room. You’ll also gain the tools to tackle difficult cases, understand and use pulses in treatment planning, and qualify to join a Five Element acupuncture clinic.

Program Format

Sessions meet in person once a month on Sunday and Monday from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, for a total of 10 weekends. Between sessions, the class connects via Zoom for 90-minute Q&A and support calls. Students earn 14 CEUs per session (140 CEUs total).
